The CF Tummy Tracker team would like to thank all participants who took the time to take part in the development of CF Tummy Tracker® through the CARDS-CF research study from 2022-2024.

Through this work we have pilot tested CF Tummy Tracker® - an electronic questionnaire to help track tummy symptoms for people with CF.

What’s next for CF Tummy Tracker®?

The first step was to create a CF-specific tool to track daily tummy symptoms in CF. To do this we created CF Tummy Tracker®.

Before it can be used in clinical trials, the results of this study need to be validated. This is to make sure that the results that were found when participants used CF Tummy Tracker® on the app in this study are the same when it is used in other studies. This helps make sure that CF Tummy Tracker® is reliable to be used in clinical trials.

CF Tummy Tracker® is currently being used as part of the GRAMPUS-CF research study (Gut Research Advancing a Mechanistic and Personalised Understanding of Symptoms in Cystic Fibrosis study) at the University of Nottingham. This research will identify clusters of tummy symptoms which are experienced by people with CF. They will study how these clusters occur and how they might be treated.
